Summer at Great Falls Park, Maryland Oil Painting

I joined the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Society (MAPAPA) recently and my first outing with them was at Great Falls Park on a beautiful summer day. It was delightfully cool early in the morning. I wasn't able to complete my first painting of the barge on the canal, since the park employees moved the barge halfway through and without the focal point, it was impossible to finish it. This was my second painting: a view of the other side of the historic Great Falls Tavern.
