| Rousillon is famous for its ocher, which has been mined for many centuries. The ocher pigments are found in the rock formations the village is built on, which are refined by a complex traditional filtering process. The village rises out of the colorful, fantastically-shaped rocks, taking on its pigments, punctuated with the blossoms of yellow broom and other flowers. |
